After a discussion with the health care professionals, the staff at the facility will contact Blue Mountains Funerals on your behalf. A member of our team will then be in contact at a time that is convenient to you.

If you loved one passes on at home under the care and supervision of a doctor, the doctor will be able to provide you with the required certification and documentation at that time. If possible, please let your doctor know if you are electing a cremation, as additional paperwork is required. Blue Mountains Funerals will then be able to assist you in the next stages and bring your loved one into our care as soon as possible.
In the instance of a sudden or unexpected passing, an emergency healthcare professional (ie ambulance officer or doctor) has been called to assist. Depending on the circumstances, death can be verified at this time or a request made to determine cause of death by a Coroner.
If a report is required by the Coroner, the police will be notified and they will make arrangement for the transfer of your loved one. Blue Mountains Funerals can assist you through the coronial process and will bring your loved one into our care once the report has been completed.
